Suicide is shrouded in a thousand questions. Could I have stopped it? Did I do something wrong? What resources are out there for my loved one? Who do I talk to? How can I help?
Losing a child to suicide and choosing to grieve with hope made me an expert on depression and suicide. Since Jonathan’s death, I have been approached by mothers, fathers, friends, pastors, and lay leaders wrestling with the effects of despair. They all ask, where is God in our painful experience? We are hungry for concrete ways to battle despair, comfort, and encourage. Do you have questions? I would love to hear from you, encourage you, guide you to resources, and journey with you.
If you have a story of hope, I love to hear what God is doing in the impossible place of despair and suicide. Redemption and resurrection are found, even here. Write your story well.
